Like with any sport, the more time you put into it the better the results will be!
Our Advanced course covers the complete IKO syllabus and goes one step further than the Intermediate program. Here we focuss on progressing the rider past their first board starts and onto independent up wind riding by edging, transition turns and first controlled jumps.
This course is open to complete novices and is inclusive of everything already covered in our learning with Quest section, starting with the beach Taster and progressing through the various skills as previously outlined.
To view the additional set of riding skills that we cover in our 12 hour course please check out this IKO weblink.
This Advanced 12 hour program is ideally run over 4 consecutive days, based around 3 hours per day.
Both our Intermediate and Advanced courses will include informal theory chats covering all the relevant wind, weather, tide and general assessment considerations that are paramount to safe kite flying and kitesurfing practice.
At the end of each course we sit down and evaluate each student’s personal achievements and progression over the last three days.
According to IKO standards we will certify you according to how much of the syllabus we have covered with you and provide each student with an international IKO kitesurfing card.
This certification then allows the individual the option to either rent equipment in the future with other kite schools or ensures that any other instructor taking over the role has a clear indication of what is next in line to be taught.
